| 'Snow White' is the biggest of all box office attractions and Peter Quartermain's most outstanding success. Having played a magnificent season in Paris and to record breaking business in many of the world this pantomime was then released to Amateurs and has played with unparalleled success in all parts of the United Kingdom. The script is packed with strong comedy routines as well as many charming and unusual sequences. The Queen is one of the most effective 'baddies' in pantomime and Snow White one of the most endearing heroines. The character of the Friendly Rabbit is a new and enchanting addition to the story and the comedy roles of Huntsman and Nurse are true pantomime at its very best. The settings are simple, requiring only one basic woodland set which can be adapted by the addition or subtraction of one or two cut out pieces . Two downstage cloths - one for the Palace and one for the Forest, one Courtyard set and one Finale set. The two ballet sets can be easily staged with sky cloth and props. This pantomime is a sure fire winner and one of the most economical to present. |
