A musical based on the books of Mark Twain

 |
| This delightful musical is adapted from the books of Mark Twain and includes many of his best loved characters. The central storyline is of Huck and Tom's adventures - their witnessing of the gruesome murder in the old graveyard - the arrest of Muff Potter for a murder he did not commit and the court case in which Huck and Tom finally reveal the truth. The subsidiary story-lines tell of Mary and Ned's romance; Aunt Polly's continual fussing and the friendship between Huck and the Negro slave Jim. The chorus work is extensive with the 'Gathering of the Harvest' scene being one of the highlights of the show. This production can be staged simply and inexpensively and has proved a sure box office hit for all those companies who have presented it. |
